Are women treated unjustly in islam?

Post by Happy Desperado »

i dedicate this question to the muslim women because i have heard so many people defending muslim women and am like Rolling Eyes i definitely dont need defending against islam. sure, there are some men who interpret religion to suit them but i believe that islam in itself is just and all women need to do, is fight the ignorance and learn their rights.

otherwise, i dont need other people fighting my battles. i have no problem with wearing hijab. i dont mind guys being allowed to have 4 wives and all the other rubbish that non muslims complain about on my behalf.

now am i the only one who feels this way or do you share my sentiments?

Your hunch is correct. When I first noticed Happy Desperado, I felt just like Neo when he saw the two black cats.

MAD MAC is gonna say something like: "Islam makes it too hard to get laid...."

Yes, there are aspects of how a woman is treated in Western society that are better than those in Islamic countries........but it is not b/c of Islam it is because of those ancient cultural practices. It is important to seperate the two.

Islam in principle doesn't treat women unjustly, people who are either misinformed or not practicing properly treat women unjustly. But women are treated unjustly outside of Islam too.......just look at all the rapes, domestic violence, even the multitude of "cheap porn" that exploits women on a daily basis..........

studies even show that in Western countries women don't get paid equally for the same work.........Why is that?

guys are partly predators and no predator wants well guarded prey that can't be accessed

he wants his fair shot at the bar, the opportunity to get to go out w/ her, "shoot the breeze" with her, relax her & get her in the sack & move on to the next...... "Wham, Bam, Thank You Mam"

he wants them to wear the "eye candy" clothing cause it's easy on the eyes.

If this is all guy wants, he doesn't care if women are running around half naked "thinking" they are liberated or treated equally

MAD MAC, would you want that for your daughter......knowing darn well what you've done, can you imagine X number of guys doing that to your daughter?

That is the principal reason behind

We dont need to ddefend ourselves against Islam..we need to reclaim Islam from odayada sheekhyaasha who have turned it into a karbaash instead of a road of enlightment..we need to unite and claim our rights and help our sisters out of the so called "islamic oppression" where a young girl can be murdered after she's been raped..or a woman feels she has to have her husbands persmission, or else.. Crying or Very sad In my way of seing this there's one way out of suppression..wether or not ur jewish, agnostic, muslim..make ur own money..and tpolitics will follow Exclamation

HD

Women like all other opprressed groups have always fought against those struggling for theior own emancipation. I dont know if you heard about the suffragette movement in Britain but almost all women here OPPSED them from Queen Victorai downwards. In fact queen Vicky hated them so much so dubbed them evil.

And all these women were fighting for was for women to have the vote.

Similiarly many slaves opposed the freeing of slaves and some volunatrily remained slaves long after emancipation.

Every right gained for women through the centuries across all cultures have been vehemently opposed by whole masses of women.

You fall in taht category. Does Isalm oppress absolutely, without a question. Do you want to remain enslaved by it? probably. Oppressed people feel comfortable with their own inferior status.

Galol,

Why don't women feel as comfortable as men exercising with their shirt off? Aren't they "equal?"

Why are women discriminated against by not allowing women to have front line combat roles in war?

I don't think it's fair we have different bathrooms in public places, aren't we equal?

Why do we have maternity leave? I want paternity leave.

In this other thread you said this:

"And the whole gender in general: yes darling you are right."

Isn't that patronizing???? You are telling me that I know how to deal with "the whole gender"
by just brushing them off as though they are insignificant

"Are women treated unjustly in islam?"

On the contrary Islam doesnÂ’t treat women unjustly or deprive them any of their rights. As matter of fact, it was under this religion that women restored their full humanity, and regained their rights to life, education, and property. This misconception (Islam doesnÂ’t treat women equally or fairly crap) is propagated by the enemy of this diin.

Keep your ears and eyes open kiddo.
