The ICU keeps this crap up, outlawing this, outlawing that, mandating this, mandating that, and they will lose the support that got them to where they are. They need to take a pursuasive approach, rather than trying to jam their vision down everyone's throat.

"The arrest came after militiamen from Sinaay Islamic court in northern Mogadishu attacked the Cinema hall where people watched a porn film, official said."

""We have arrested 9 people including a woman because they were screening a porn movie which is irrelevant to Islam religion"" Sheik Dahir Sheekhow, chairman of Sinay Islamic Court said

Read says watched Porn which is undignified thing to do for the believers in Islam. And stop the whining Exclamation

I suspect the would call Crash or Pulp Fiction a porn film. Their definition of porn is probably not what would fall into the realm of normal definition.

Secondly, whether or not porn is appropriate for someone to watch is AN INDIVIDUAL CHOICE - not the choice of the ICU or anyone else. It is fine if the ICU tries to pursuade people to not watch certain things, or to pursuade people to do certain things - but they are not trying to use the power of pursuasion, they are using force. This approach will backfire.

Wadaads inter cinemas without buying tickets. Watch movies to identify what kind is it. Then they arrest men and women seperetely.
Allahu aclam what they are doing with that woman. Twisted Evil

What happened was that wadaads took Khat inter the movie without paying the pleasure of watching the art of sex and than later wanting a blow job.
Start accusing the pple in and outside the cinema mostly women and took them to their private cells.
What deost this tell you is that they had their day and night enjoyment free of charge, you see this is the new face of the hawiye and their newly refomed Mooryaans and Isbaari system.

I second this. I have my doubts as to what they were watching could actually be classified as "certifiable porn". Like, who would take the risk of showing a real porn flick in Somalia ??? I read in the article it said "sex" was shown. But even the most light hearted comedy shows some semblance of sex in it nowadays. So does this mean EVERY movie fits the ICU's loose definition of "porn???"

As a matter of fact I have heard that even in the remote nomad areas, if there is a generator for electricity, people wach porn Sad I am glad they are doing something about that..... Let's just pray they do something about the khat... the # 1 problem in our society.....Unless some of them are the business guys of the khat... because last month a lady who was wearing Jilaabiib told me she used to sell Khat in Somalia.... I was honestly shocked Exclamation The only question I asked her was " Where you covered with Jilaabiib" ? and she said Yes....

Khat will not be touched. Or all the Mooryaans in the UIC will go up in Arms.
