This is a liberal approach to"syria is not backing down." It really says "Syria was 'it wasn't me.'"

Syria will back down; it always does because it knows Isarel will march to Damascus in 24 hours.

Anyway why not worry about Kombo issues and its coming war with kabashagles instead of worrying about Arab/Jew problems?

There is no way Syria would attack Israel. It would get crushed. Syria is outfitted mostly with T-55s and some export versions of the T-72. Against the Merkava, those tanks would be toast. In the air the Syrian Air Force would be clobbered. I man, let's get real here.

how do you know that i know nothing about Syria or the middle east Confused for an old man you're fukking ignorant.

MM

its not doubt that should a war break out Isreal would defeat Syria but you got to agree Haifa and telaviv will not be standing as well as all the small cities and towns all along the border. the real question is how much is isreal willing to put on the line?

Haifa will sustain some minor damage as it is now. Tel Aviv will be fine, Syria isn't in the position to threaten it.

But it is not as if Israel is being given an option. If Syria decides to fight, Israel has to fight. Israel has no options here. It can fight back or it can fight back.

MM

we all know Syria won't dare attack Isreal unless provoked, but if Isreal decides to take the war to Damascus then i'm pretty sure Telaviv and Haifa will be burning.

you said haifa will sustain minor damages, you're likening the military strength of Syria to that of Hezbollah Laughing

Hibollah is only successful because it is firing individual rockets from multiple locations and is close to Haifa. Syria is not close to Haifa. It could only reach Haifa via its Air Force. You will note that during the 73 war Haifa was not laid waste. The Syrian Air Force would be very hard pressed to penetrate Israeli air space. I don't see it happening.

The IDF. Who do you think? Syria fields a conventional force. It's not going to transition to a guerilla Army. Assad would never permit it. Such a force could end up turning it's weapons on its own leaders. He wants forces he can control.
