Salaam

Tip 1. Brothers should not miss the takbeer al ihram the first takbeerah you should be in the masjid before the salaah starts because the reward is great

in Sunan al-Tirmidhi, where it says: “Whoever prays to Allaah for forty days in congregation, catching up with the first takbeer, he will be recorded as being free from two things: free from the Fire and free from hypocrisy.” (al-Tirmidhi no. 241; classed as da’eef by al-Tirmidhi but as hasan by al-Albaani). So we should try to do this though it’s not easy

Tip- 2. That we need to finish the Quran twice during the month of Ramadan finish the rassool said read the Quran and it will act as an intessesor for you. Riyadh-us-Saleheen #991: Abu Umamah (raa) relates that he heard the Holy Prophet (saws) say: "Study the Quran (regularly) for it will act as an intercessor and entreat for its readers on the Day of Judgement. (Muslim)

Tip 3- Memorizing juzahs during Ramadan and at least juzaa amma which has the smaller surahs at least in your heart .

Tirmizi Narrator:- Hazrat Ibn-e-Abbas (RA)
The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H) said: He who does not have even a portion of the Quran saved in his heart, he is like a deserted house.

What lives there in a deserted house? JinnÂ’s shaytan and spiders, so begin memorizing during this month.

Tip 4. That we should not miss the taraweeh prayer in Bukhari the Prophet said: ‘Whoever stands the nights of Ramadan in faith and consciousness, all the sins which he sent forth will be forgiven.’ this is the merit of the qiam prayer. So pray seeking Allahs pleasure.

Tip 5 – one has to be kind to his kindred so we need to visit in Ramadan our relatives from both side at least once a week, if they are not in your country then call them on the phone . It was narrated by Abu Hurayrah: The Prophet -sallallahu alaihi wa sallam- said, "Allah created the creations, and when He finished from His creations, Ar-Rahm, i.e., womb, said, '(O Allah) at this place I seek refuge with You from all those who sever me (i.e. sever the ties of kith and kin).' Allah said, 'Yes, won't you be pleased that I will keep good relations with the one who will keep good relations with you, and I will sever the relation with the one who will sever the relations with you.' It said, 'Yes, O my Lord.' Allah said, 'Then that is for you.' “Allah’s Apostle -sallallahu alaihi wa sallam- added, "Read (in the Qur'an) if you wish, the Statement of Allah: 'Would you then, if you were given the authority, do mischief in the land and sever your ties of kinship?' (47.22)" (Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 8.16)

So being nice to your relatives is essential as the one who cuts the familial ties will not enter the jannah and not smell its fragrance. So in Ramadan strengthen the ties.

Tip 6- Giving charity at least on weekly basis Rasool (saw) said was the most generous one and more generous in Ramadan as mentioned in the hadith of Bukhari . The rewards are multiplied in Ramadan so give it out donÂ’t miss this chance, Rasool (saw) said no wealth will diminish for spending feesabeelilah

Tip -7 One should feed those who are fasting. those who help a person break his fast will get the reward for example five people break their fasts with you then you will get the reward of five people and that reward is so great and imagine the rewards for ten and twenty, in Makka those who are rich they bring cars with food for the poor because of this beautiful hadith if you want to make business with Allah this is the season for it, Invite others to your home to break the fast or take the food to the masjid.

Tip 8- One should attend the janazah prayer and follow the funeral procession to the grave yard till the body is buried, the one who attended the prayer but did not follow the janazah he will get one qirat and if he follows the janazah he will get two qirat and each qirat is equal to mount uhud , this is the reward for those who attend the janazah and follow the body till its buried.

Tip 9 – One should try to Perform umrah in Ramadan may Allah make it easy on you to do this ameen. For an ‘Umrah during Ramadan is equivalent in reward to a Hajj (pilgrimage) performed with the Messenger of Allah (bukhari). This is the reward for doing umrah during in Ramadan.

Tip 10- One should listen to lectures while driving or sisters are cooking try to at least listen to a lecture a day sometimes we are cooking or driving for over and hour so utilize that time , choose lectures that soften your heart and remind you of the akhira (www.audioislam.com )

Tip 11- Reading Islamic books during this month, the month o f the ilm of the emaan and Quran. Make an intention to finish the books in Ramadan that you have left half finished or make the intention to buy some books that you will read in Ramadan , spend at least one hour doing this a day during this blessed month.

Tip 12- Dawaa, do not ignore it during this month , it’s the duty of every Muslim and no one is better than the d’aee , if your neighbors are not Muslims now is a good time to send a book with the food you have cooked don’t miss this golden chance . Every sister I want you to send food to your neighbors Muslim or not Muslim to let them see how Muslims are. Rasool (saw) said to Ali (raa) if you guide one person its better than the red camel and an other narration has the “better than the whole Dunia”

Tip 13 – One should pray salaat ul Duha It was narrated that Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: My close friend [the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)] advised me to do three things which I will not give up until I die: fasting three days of each month, praying Duha and going to sleep after Witr.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (1124); Muslim (721) Pray two rakat and thatÂ’s the minimum after the sunrise

Tip 14- One should not miss the witr prayer. Immam Ahmed was asked about a man who does not pray witr he replied someone who cant do that has no khair ( goodness ) as the minimum is one raka so what khair has this person in him

Tip15- That we have to maintain the dhikir after the five daily prayers saying Sura nass falaq and iklaas three times after fajr and magrib and once after the other prayers , saying wal-Hamdu li'Llah, wa laa ilaaha ill Allahu astagfurAllah ect ayat al kursi. First Tasbeeh ayat al kursi then the others and try to concentrate and feel the words let them come from inside your heart not where you only hear the sib sib sib thatÂ’s not tasbeeh Allah is greater than everything Subhaan Allaah

Those who remember Allah much Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward the dhikr is the food for our souls

Tip 16- Daily duaa for the morning and evening and each of us should keep in our pocket the fortress of a Muslim. (www.islamawareness.net/Dua/Fortress/ ß- link to fortress of a Muslim book )

Tip17- One should give zakat, give of your wealth and your property and Allah said"And be steadfast in prayer; give Zakat; and bow down your heads with those who bow down (in worship)." (Sura Al-Baqarah, ayah # 43), One will be in hell fire if he does not give out the Zakat

Tip 18- Qyam al layl Ramadan is a training period for us to get used to this, this is now an intensive course for us to build up our emaan and after Ramadan we should carry on with these deeds and Qiyam al lail . The night prayer is the honour of every muslim .

Tip 19- Iktikaf in the last ten days of Ramadan this is the sunnah of the phrophet (saw) in any masjid not necessarily at one of the three holy masjids but preferably a masjid that the jumma prayer is performed in, so that one would not leave the masjid to go to the jumma prayer. The wifeÂ’s of the phrophet (saw) also performed Ikitkaf. Iktiqaf is seclusion from the people and the attachments of the dunia for ten days, concentrating on the ebaadah and the Quran and your Emaan , and you come out on the day of eid .

Tip 20- In the last ten nights we should try to seek the qadar night and increase our ebaadah and work hard during all the last ten nights so we wont miss the night Inshaa Allah as one night is equvilant to one thousand nights

Tip 21- We give out the zakat al fitr given upon every Muslim, even for the child born on the day of Eid .One saaa for every person and can be given out and can be given out one or two days before Eid
