just saw it recently, I heard someone mentioning he was intoxicated before lefting off, another life cut short.

He was with an instructor pilot, so I doubt very seriously that he was intoxicated. The weather conditions were poor. Not sure if that was a factor. We'll have to wait and see what the investigation reveals.
