The QAAD/KHAT/JAAD REVOLUTION: ICU in Danger

Post by AbdiWahab252 »

The ICU burned over $40,000 worth of Jaad today in Xamar. They have banned Jaad & cigarettes in Kismayo.

Will this inspire a new GREEN revolution ?

The owner of the Qaad was Ina Afdiinle the Ciidagale cartler and it was bought from hargaysa via some Hawiye connection. The sad thing is whats next?? will they force people to pray and start killing women/men by stoning??

This is very dangrouse, you see the day they stone a person to death , somalis have no idea of the dangour od these focken fanatics, they simply think if they apply focked up Sahriica laws everything will be fine.

Burning Qaad is nothing, tommrrow they will burry a poor man/woman in a hole and stone him to death shouting Alaah Akbar Iran style, and somalis will wak up of this foked up Shaarica garbage. No humanbeing derserve to day in such a manner

things just can't happen overnight like that.........I can understand if it was heroin, cocaine, or some methamphetamines that are seriously obstructing a person's life.

but qaat? people are addicted and it's gotta take some time........like when the Prophet (saw) was commanded to forbid alchohol gradually.........over a period.....

I mean in Somalia Khat is a national pasttime. Telling people they can't chew is like telling them they can't breath.

I remmember when P.J. O'Rourke went to Somalia in 92. He observed that about 40 planes a day flew about 300,000 dollars worth of khat daily into Somalia. But it takes US Marines to deliver a sack of wheat.

^^^ that's an extremely sad version of supply/demand.........the people who need the food can't afford it and probably don't chew qaat anyways........

yeah, I don't think this is a worthwhile effort.......I can understand gradually trying to wean people off of it..........but Cold Turkey barely works for people who WANT to quit bad habits, how is it going to work for people who don't want to quit?

It's like the saying that Aisha (ra) said about Islam in Arabia:

"If the first commands in the Quran were to be 'don't drink, don't fornicate' the Arabs would have said: 'By Allah, we will never forsake drinking and fornicating'.......but the Quran taught us about our Lord and heaven and hell until our hearts became attached.........

at that point, it was easy to quit. and when the command came to drop alchohol it was poured onto the streets.
