A former Giordano's pizza waitress claims managers sexually harassed her and even urged her to terminate a pregnancy because she was no longer attractive to them.
In a federal lawsuit filed Monday, Amy Pamanauskas says she was repeatedly harassed by two of her managers at an Oakbrook Terrace Giordano's. Upon discovering she was three months pregnant, one "even went so far as to offer his illegal assistance, in the form of procuring a 'special tea' for her to drink that would induce a miscarriage," according to the lawsuit.
Giordano's bans harassment
Pamanauskas was fired in 2005, she claims, because she refused their sexual advances and complained about them.
A Giordano's representative was not familiar with the lawsuit but said the company has a policy against such behavior.
"It would certainly be nothing we would tolerate," said Dan Hull, Giordano's director of marketing. "We do enforce [the policy] when we learn of violations."
