Sudan: US Envoy Condemn Chinese Leader’s Visit to Sudan
In theory, the Yanks are right, but who are they to lecture? I mean, they can strafe kamboni to get one or two guys, but yet can't send a man to stop the massacre of 100's of thousands?

(SomaliNet) Blaming Chinese President for visiting Sudan, the U.S. special envoy to Sudan criticized Beijing on Thursday for not putting economic pressure on Sudan over the war torn Darfur area.
The United Stares envoy Andrew Natsios urged China to join the United States and others and use diplomatic and economic pressure to push Sudan’s government to accept an international force in its Darfur region and stop what the United States says is genocide.
"China’s substantial economic investment in Sudan gives it considerable potential leverage and we have made clear to Beijing that the international community will expect China to be part of the solution," Natsios said in testimony to the House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs.
Chinese President Hu Jintao on hs visit to Sudan last week signed several economic deals with Sudan, including an interest-free loan of 100 million yuan, about $13 million, for Sudan to build a new presidential palace. He also wrote off up to $70 million in Sudanese debts to China.
"I was a little disappointed with what happened recently in terms of the visit. I have to be very candid, I was hoping for a little bit more diplomatic pressure from the Chinese," Natsios said.
Meanwhile, New Jersey Rep. Christopher Smith, a Republican, said China was "enabler-in-chief" when it came to atrocities in Darfur, where more than 200,000 people have died in the past four years and more than 2.5 million have been displaced from their homes.
"I doubt that Sudan’s leaders lost much sleep after their meeting with the Chinese president. Perhaps that night they dreamed of building the new railway line straight to Darfur to hasten the genocide," said Democratic Rep. Tom Lantos of California, a survivor of the Holocaust.
Natsios, who visited China last month to press the U.S. view on Darfur, said he believed Beijing understood it was in their interests to resolve the deteriorating situation there. (Reuters)

Who started the crisis in Darfur? Those same hypocrites with an agenda now crying about it. It was west that stirred up the conflict by supporting and arming Darfur rebels who started attacking government and in order to protect themselves gov started supporting Janjaweed militia that started killing civilians. Lot of bad things have happened since but who is to blame? USA that started all this with it's own agenda against Sudan's islamic government and strategic ambitions in the area. I swear no one who's complaining about Darfur conflict has a pure humitarian intention, far from it.
There's this sudanese sheikh that I know, masha Allah he's the most learned man I personally know. He has a long history of islamic studies in very high level and also he studied for duniya in university. He knows religion very well but also politics and sociology masha Allah. Today I was talking with him for many hours and he explained me in details from A to Z what's going on in Darfur and the history of conflict. He's also expert of somali affairs, he knows more about Somali politics than many somalis. I had a very pleasant discussion with him.

Re: Sudan: US Envoy Condemn Chinese Leader’s Visit to Sudan
this a hypocrisy or sweet heart wedding between islamic government of sudan and china? it is just business both sides are merchants willing to sell anything that can be converted into currency. china is on a shopping spree for all things natural in Africa: Minerals as well as hydrocarbons.

United Stares envoy Andrew Natsios urged China;
Lets, Mr. Natsios word could’ve been little credible if he start his human right concern start at his on back yard Guantánamo Bay BAY. He could go bit farther to Abū Ghurayb, Hippocrates pig.

I meant which part of the world. It was an indirect way of asking where this guy lives, Mowlid.
Quit interrogating me.

Re: Sudan: US Envoy Condemn Chinese Leader’s Visit to Sudan
I'm with the Chinese on this one. After long, hard, thought, I have come to the conclusion that the Chinese policy of essentially ignoring the internal issues of other countries makes a lot of sense, and we would do well to pursue it as well. If Sudanese want to kill each other, fock 'em. Maybe we can make some money off of it with weapons sales. If the Bosnians want to butcher each other, it's not my problem. The road to hell is paved with good intentions.
