Xasan Daahir Aweys, the leader of Al Itixaad al Islaamiya and the defeated Islamic Courts Union of Muqdisho is believed to be hiding in the Caynaba Distrrict of the breakaway region of Somaliland. He is thought to be a guest of his in-law Sheekh Cali Warsame, a native of that region and an ideological soulmate of Aweys, a man wanted by the US for sponsoring international terrorism.
