Re: Elite Gender Inversion: The Documentary

And when it is said to them, "Do not cause corruption on the earth," they say, "We are but reformers."
Unquestionably, it is they who are the corrupters, but they perceive [it] not.
And when it is said to them, "Believe as the people have believed," they say, "Should we believe as the foolish have ...

Re: Somalia Etymology 2017

There's no proof of saxiib, faras, farax, roti, kuul and so on not being somali. All you somali self-hating folk need to get into uni and learn a thing or too. These words are somali as far as academia is concerned.

Somalis. Always demeaning themselves.

Re: The True Somali Word

100% no loan words? I'm speaking of the words taking since the 1900~ (italian/english). Somali has enough vocab to cover many things however the language is no longer formally taught. For instance, we have our own calender yet use arabic days of the week? It's these type of errors I'm trying to ...

Re: What are the Old Somali Words You Know?

Lol^ iran is 100 horses??
Any somali word that is out of use today or not so popular would be great to learn. It's annoying how we're begining to use arabic/english/italian loan words instead of our own. I'm not a nationalist but hate seeing languages or cultures go extinct by lazy folk.
So' and ...

Life short but the next is eternal. Don't mess around for the sake of it. If you don't like the idea of her eyeballing other men don't go looking for other woman, unless she's into the whole part-time husband thing.

Re: The True Somali Word

English does develop words and has borrowed plenty, i'd 70% truthfully, i'm suggesting we opt out of the foreign words an switch gears to the native ones when possible. Many borrowed words are through colonization so we can start there.

Anyone wanna share? If you got them share 'em. I've heard of ori for wife, so' for meat and this saying " So' iyo sar toona ma laha" meaning it has neither meat or hide.

How it's possible somalinet members are too lazy to help answer questions about somalia but are quick to talk about drama.
Started several boards on somali language, etymology, history with nothing but qalyo from these folk.
Help a brother out man! Trying to help somalia you know what i mean?

Re: Somali language etymology

Off the top of my head Korean:
- One of the words to refer yourself is naega, (nee-ga) and in somali its aniga, although niga in korean means you.
- Get out is naga, in somali it's neega bax (although ga is leave in korean and bax is in somali)
- Head/hair is moeri (slight "r") and somali is mallax ...
