Sisters showing their support in numbersÂ…..shouldnÂ’t surprise anyone. We all know the UIC has more women supporters than men. Somali women have always been the backbone of Somali society and community and even more so after the war began. And in the past few months women have supported the Islamic revolution in ideas, intellect, and money, in numbers for every demo and in every other aspect right down to cleaning up the streets and feeding the young mujahideen. Now they are taking the ultimate self sacrificing act in volunteering themselves physically in Jihad.
All credit to the Somali sisters empowering themselves and the movement. May Allah bless them and protect them. This movement is surely going to go on for generations to come as the support grows at grassroot level.

fagash, the Somali sisters in Xamar are very devout Muslims.
You think they are fighting for siyaasad?
Is there a single female senior UIC member? NO
Is there a single female member in any of the UIC regional administrations? I donÂ’t think so.
Still, they have the majority of the support from women. Not because of politics but because the sisters see the xaq. They will be fighting for their land, their families, their freedom, their believes and faith. The point of jihad is to strive against oppression and the Somali women have been striving in the past 16years and are going to put everything in this movement which they believe in. You are free to see it how you will but over 800 Xawo Takos are ready to strive and make a difference in Somalia.

Could they get political power if they decide to? NO, right!
Tell your sisters not to leave their houses, let the boys kill each other. Maybe then they might have a chance to say their word

Navy9, my sisters in Somalia do not need to get some symbolic title. They are the power behind the man. They are the ones influencing the leader from cradle to the grave. The sisters in Xamar run their own businesses, they are the doctors, teachers and civil society. They donÂ’t need to be made the judge of an Islamic court to make a difference to their society and develop Somalia. Somali women will play a huge part in the future of Somalia through the Islamic revolution just like the women of Iran.
