Single mother is somwhat of an insult. Even the single mothers themselves get mad when you call them a single mother. I don't see it as an insult. It just means that a woman who is single can also be a mother. I understand where men are coming from though. Single mothers are often used(sexually) oo waa laga tagay. In most cases, it's hard for them to remarry because of their baggage. Very Happy

The other day, I was on the phone with my friend, we were talking about this lady that lives in Toronto, and I said "Oh, naa maxaa kaa galay, she's a single mother anyways"
