When will Zoomalia get its statehood back?

Post by CrazySommies »

1stly, is Zoomalia viable anyway?

Here, back in Dec 1st 1960. British Parliament officials quized the last governor of Somaliland Protectorate over the problems ahead for Somaliland over a dinner speach he made at the ROYAL AFRICAN SOCIETY:

QUESTIONS : Is it me opinion of Sir Douglas Hall, that the present Somali
Republic is economically viable or will it have to amalgamate with other areas in the future to achieve that viability ?

LECTURER: There is no doubt at all that the new Somali Republic is not viable in its own right at the present time. It is, of course, getting assistance from us, and I understand that it is negotiating for assurance from Italy.

from Somaliland's Last Year as a Protectorate
by Sir DOUGLAS HALL, K.CJtf.G.
