The recipe for the systematical lack of governance in Southern Somalia is quite straightforward. Darods should rule darods, Isaaqs rule isaaqs, Hawiyes rule hawiye, Digil and Mirifle rule themselves so should all other groups. NOw, that's only the skelatal outline. Geographical, dialectical, economical and other constrains will force some regions of varying clan composition to unite forming a single entity. Case in point Somaliland. Still other regions will be better off being comprised entirely of a single clan. Whatever the case the lingua franca of future Somali politics must be regionalism and clan states. Anything less will create more suffering and destitution.[/quote]
i like your idea, but tell that to habar gedir and darod. habar gedir believe they own shabeele hoose and parts of xamar and kismayo is in contention between darods. next, they will lay claim to baidoa and somaliland.
