Post by Cilmiile »

Maxamuud Xaaji Xaashi(Murdux), Carraale Mahad,

a son of the highly respected and multitudinous Xaaji Xaashi family, he was a succesful businessman and an aspiring politician who twice contested elections in Buuhoodle, losing both times to the Cali Geri politician Jaamac Dhoof. His candidacy is remembered for the colourful name of his party: Hal iyo Nirig

Ismaaciil Ducaale Qambi, Carraale Cigaal reer Hagar, was a teacher and administrator who held various positions in the Education establishment in Somalia. He was known for retiring to the Hawd during the school holidays tending his family's large livestock holdings in the countryside. His maternal uncle was the Great Somali Educator Maxamuud Axmed Cali, who was instrumental in the schooling of young Ismaaciil, after being impressed by the brightness of the young boy.
