The Konfur Republic will be based on the Swiss Model of Government.

Each konfurate will run its own affairs and the central government will have a limited role.

Each qabiil will work in its own deegan.

If there are problems, there will be referendums held in each Konfuurate to resolve it. If it fails, it goes to the federal government's congress for a vote. If that fails, it goes to the Supreme Court.

If there is one qabiil predominate in one district they will dominate it by sheer voting power. However, there will be protections for minorities in the constitution of each state. No legislation that harms a group will be tolerated with the federal government having the authority to step in.

The list was an example. Once peace prevails, I know that it will go back to regional interests instead of qabiil. A person from Gedo will have more in common with another member of a different Rer Gedo qabiil.

Interesting proposal….. Abdi, you have to realise the problem is not Puntland as such although all southerners would probably love to get rid of Yusuf, he is not Puntland and that land belongs to all Somalis and will remain part of Somalia.

What we need to do is to create a New Nation built on mutual respect and commitment to improving the living standards of Somalis everywhere. To select the best leaders who are committed to the Somali cause who are not working to benefit their bank balances. We have to realise that we are living in a different world and we need to unite and benefit our people. Dividing up Somalia will not benefit anyone in anyway.
