The cab drivers in Minnieapolis are trying to impose sharia law on that town's residents.

I am somali, and it is stuff like that makes me despise Islam in the West and, hell, even back home. The religion cannot be a personal thing but has to be imposed on everyone else.

How ungrateful can the Somali-refugee cab drivers be? Here they have been welcomed to the greatest country in the world without ANY blatant discrimination and how do they respond? They blatantly discriminate against the people of that country!

Ugh. Shame on you, Somali-Cab drivers!

No, this country was based on laws and the [i]respect of differences.[/i] Somalis have taken advantage of this to find a home in this country, now they're trying to undermine the very foundations which allowed them to find that home? Imagine if EVERYONE implemented their "religious beliefs" into public policy. Guess what: America would not have been that attractive to Somali immigrants then.

I'm personally not religious by any means, but say that I actually believed drinking was a moral sin. That believe still doesn't give me the right to discriminate against those who don't share that belief.

For me to do so would be backward, intolerant and hostile--the very same things those ignorant cab drivers are being towards the citizens of Minniepolis.

The only logical reaction open to the citizens of Minniepolis is to return the sentiments in kind and discriminate against Somali Muslims twice fold.

You are in the USA, you have to obey the laws of the land. We know alcohol is a bad thing and the cab drivers have to accomodate their customers.

FAH123 , nowhere in the US constitution does it say you cannot exercise your religious beliefs. As matter of fact alcohol was illegal during the Prohibition in this country, now with that said I personally would have NO problem at all transporting a customer with his booze. If both parties cannot agree on anything , take it to court!

There's a perfectly reason why he, refused to let that man enter his cab, We all have our duties to fulfill and obligation to maintain, If someone refused to let you in his cab, why not just wait for another cab, it's as simple as a coin toss.

It makes as much sense as a white store owner saying that their personal "beliefs" compel them not serve black customers. Is that okay to you?

It's not ok, I'll admit, But who will it effect the most the white man or the black audience? Either way it will effect him where it hurts the most, his wallet. Just as that Somali cab, it will only hurt them in the long run.

I agree with you, and I certainly do hope that they get hurt fianancially.

What I'm concerned with is the lack of Somali-muslim repudiation of these nut cases!
