The 3rd republic is nigh saaxib. What you're witnessing now is the birth pangs of New Somalia. Sure this government is treasonous, corrupt, nepotistic etc but show me a Somali "government" that isn't. This is somalia saaxib, a Somalia that's in Africa. We should be realistic and expect substandard governance for a long time before things take a turn for the positive. A bad government is better than no government. Somalia now has internationally recognized government with seat in the UN and eligable to apply for aid and World Bank recontruction projects.

I've come to the conclusion that fighting Ethiopians head-on is futile and will only prolong their presence. So long as we fight them they'll have an excuse to be in Somalia. My gut feeling stirs me to support the fighters in Xamar but my somber assessment says work with this sham government to change it from within.
