Was it really a defeat or a war tactic?

Post by X-unit »

Okay, for almost a month the resistance fighters fought against the Ethiopian troops and the TFG. If they got defeated where the fok are they hiding....or is this another war tactic from the resistant fighters....it doesn't add up...these ppl had anti-tank missiles....anti-aircraft missiles...n don't come up wit dat bullsh!t stuff ooh they all got killed...if so where are the pictures cuz the TFG is willing to do anythin to get it's authority back...where are the resistance fighters and there weapons......there were numerous times when the Ethiopian soldiers requested cease-fire which draws another point that they were indeed hard to defeat...

excerpted from AP Associated press article :

"Western diplomats, who spoke on condition of anonymity for fear of damaging relations with Somalia's government, said the insurgents had suffered large numbers of casualties and were running low on ammunition, but were not yet defeated."

It was a planned withdrawal. The Ethios have not found any insurgents dead or alive, nor have they found any weapons, kinda like when they first came to Mogadishu. Everyone went in to their hiding hole, they will re-group and attack as they always did.

Bush said "Mission Accomplished" 1 day after the U.S. toppled Saddam, that was 4 years ago and they still can not neutralize Baghdad with 150,000 U.S. troops in Iraq.

PM Geedi has assumed his "father of the nation" role and convinced all fighters to put down their guns and fight another day. It was stunning success. Another diplomatic coup detat by the ever cunning Geedi. A monumental achievement by the leader of the nation. Geedi is truly the man of the hour! Laughing

they were defeated, they suffered major losses, do to US airstrikes combined with an ethiopian counterattack.

they have adopted the correct methods of low level guerilla warefare, instead of the previous reckless attacks.

X-Unit,

I think it was a mix of both. The AC-130s changed the game and they probably figure, they should start over their hit & run attacks.

The areas that the Ethiopians captured are open places, where are they going to set up camp? give it a week and they will leave.

""Xoogaga iskacaabinta Muqdisho ayaa sheegay in ay xeelad dagaalkoodii bedeleen. Hogaamiye u hadlay xoogagaas ayaa sheegay in dagaalka fool ka foolka ah ee Itoobiya lagula jiray uu ujeedkiisaa ahaa in

"Wadooyinka waan u furnay ciidanka Itoobiya ee bal aan aragno hadii ay wadooyinka ku hoyanayaan iyo hadii kale, markii hore inaga ayaa hadaf ama taarget ahayn, haatanse iyaga ayaa hadaf iyo taarget noqonaya". Hogaamiyaha oo ka mid saraakiisha ugu saraysa ee iskacaabinta wada ayaa sheegay in maalmihii lasoo dhaafayba ay qorshaha xeelad bedelista ay ku hawlanaayeen, laakiin dhalinyaradda dagaalka ku jira ay diidanayeen in Itoobiyaanka jidka loo furo, iyagoo ku doodayey in ay sharaf dhac tahay, laakiin haatan la garawsaday.

Xoogaga iskacaabinta ayuu sheegay hogaamiyuhu in ay ku howlanyihiin sidii loo bilaabi lahaa hawgaladda unugyo dagaal oo xaafad walba ku diyaarsan, kuwaasoo dalkooda iyo dadkoodda u diidan gumaysiga Itoobiya iyo dabadhilifka Soomaalida ah ee ku lamaanan.

Maalmaha soo socda ayuu hogaamiyahaasi u madlay ciidanka Itoobiya iyo adeegayaashooda Soomaaliyeed."
