I heard that General Gabeire (AUN) was shot with over 90 bullets by an execution squad for the alleged coup d'etat against Afweyne in the early 1970s.
He was such a brave man that he took his pending death without any fear. He refused to have a hood placed over his head and spoke against Afweyne and the firing squad as they fired round after round into him. He went without any fear and refused to beg for mercy.
RIP General Salad Gabeire, General Ainanshe and the 1st Somalis murdered by the brutal regime of Afweyne in public for all to see.

AbdiWahab252, I am not familiar (though I have heard their names mentioned) with General Salad Gabeire and General Ainanshe. Could you tell us a brief bio about them? 90 bullets is way too barbaric.
Re: Salad Gabeire (AUN): The Bravest Man in Modern Somali Histor
Aw252 writes about anything and everything and always manages to tie in M Siad Barre and always with a negative light. His lifeswork is to discredit M Siad Barre
You could probably find a more balanced perspective elsewhere.

Do you think Gedo_Boy is an apologist???????? Do you even make sense to yourself????????
They tried to commit a coup (actually one of the youth whom they tried to recruit was my dad who was young then) but they should have been smart about the people they involved. It was a perfect capture, as soon as Aabe Siyaad was told he didnt arrest or whatever. He and his inside men set them up and caught them in the act with the whole country looking on. Perfect planning, probably Cilmiile knows more about it then we do.
Punishment by treason is death. No tear shed there.
