Grant's last name is Jewish, in case no one noticed.
Actually the name is Gothic. There was a time when I also thought it might be Jewish, but I was able to trace that line back to the late 14th century. There are both noble German and common Danish families in the abtiris and no other names that are at all questionable. We think the name was originally from Holland and traveled to Denmark with the Hanseatic league.
FYI: My middle name is one of the royal houses of Wales.
My religious background is Mormon. My grandmother's great grandfather had five living wives and 56 living children when he wrote his autobiography in 1881. I am a graduate of a Mormon seminary.
I have my abtiris generally complete in both the male and female lines back to at least the early part of the nineteenth century, and much further back on some lines. All the lines are identifiable as either German or Celtic, about half and half.
