Death is inevitable, it will visit each and everyone of us one day, however, different ppl react to death in different ways.
When death is a rarity in your environs, and it doesn't occur much too often, when you hear the death of someone you know, it shocks you to the core. maybe it's just because of it's prolonged absence, you took everything for granted.
In Mogadishu, where death is a daily occurence, do ppl perceive it differently? Nothing at that rate can shock you or even surprise you, it must've become the norm and ppl just shrug and go along their routine life. Is that possible?
How do ppl in Mog perceive death?

Sir Lug....why pro longed?? Caudubilaahi. You know what, Sir? I am beginning to think these deaths in mog is affecting u so much that -- your subconscious desire is for someone here in the west should die to pay.I mean-- the 'prolonged' word is the key here-- who will use that word to describe an anticipation of death? It seems to me Sir lug-- that u feel for xamarians, and u stay awake in the night calculating their death via your crappy radio listening to bbc.Caudubilaahi.
But....
Not that you did not point out a valid curiousity question. In fact, i am surprised i did not bring that up since i usually think of these miscellenious warped questions here in the forums.
Of course, their sense of death is casual.
I mean, not only xamar but the entire africa. It seems where there is suffering, and which usually is africa, the acceptance of death seems strangely hasty.I have witnessed it myself. When i visited kenya in 2005, i have seen people hear death news, and usually i am down on the floor crying , and these people sit there ---not really taken by the news of a loved one dead, but they are more concerned in shushing my noise from bothering neighbors.Their usual 'soothing advices' are---God willing, their time has come. Earth is our temporary home, inaa lilaah wa inaa ileehi rajiuun etc etc etc
And I say...Okkkkkkk.....-granted, that is true-- but where is their outflow of humanistic emotions?? Why so stoic and cold and reserved and hastingly accepting of death?? Somalis are indeed very strange species.
Going back to your point waryaa Sir Lug....
Of course in xamar the story is different. Death is a normal occurance. Someone dies in front of you and u just step over them--and yell as u go away---
'Waar yaahee where is his clan---toolkiise aweee----burry this thing Baleeease"
and off they go to their next --- ... i guess...
'Baariis" !

Basra,
How so true. When I was posing this question, believe you me, you were in my mind. I thought this was too bizzare for me to ask and I was silently wondering "How come Basra did not ask this question a long time ago?"
Nevertheless, your answer is appreciated
