Who are reer Jibril?

Post by Warsame101 »

In the journal: "To the Mysterious Lorian Swamp", it is written that they came to one of the British posts in search for protection. The actual passage is:

"The corporal shouted out in Somali and the figures stopped. " We are women of the Jibril tribe," they shrilled out in reply to his question. We seek the protection of the Serkal (Government). The Marehan have attacked our village, killing most of the men who were left behind to defend us"

I am sensing that it was Reer Xassan that raided them but who are they?

Laughing the Somali history is based on those raids. From the Dhulbahante raiding the Isaaq and killing their men to the Abgaals raiding the Ajuraans and massacring them.

But my question is, who are they?

Probably Ogaadeen, they are the only group with Muslim names around those areas. Laughing
