Khalid the spy was being questioned at police head quarters, "All right khalid" said the detective "where did u hide the secret document that you stole from the state department?"

Khalid replied "I was afraid to be caught with it, when i saw your man trailing me i ran into a library and hid it in a book, i knew you would have a hard time finding it in all those books, i put it between pages 123 and 124, but i was so intent on remembering those numbers that i forgot the name of the book and now i dont know where it is "

"YOU ARE LYING! " said the detective "tell me where u really put it "

QUESTION:..> how did the detective KNOW from what khalid said above, that he was INDEED LYING?

what gave him away ?
Note: i have not left anything out the story so the answer is there but r u clever enuff 2 spot it ?
the cop knowing he was lying has nothing 2 do with facial expression , stuttering, pupils dialating etc.

Gedo boy ,here we had the idea that the FBI guys to be considered as the good guys, and those with Muslim names to be the bad guys? Good guess sxb

It is a single paper with two numbers on either side, like the same coin with two sides. The book starts with page 1....and flip you have page 2 which is in the same paper...likewise page 3 and 4 are on the same paper (you can olny hide between two papers like page 2 and 3)......so it is safe to say that you can only hide in-between pages starting with even numbers.

For example,..2 to 3, 4 to 5, 6 to 7, 50 to 51,---100 to 101---120 to 121----122 to 123----124-125 and not 123-124
