Somaliland bands


1- Moogayaasha (Ilmo Mooge)

Mohammed Mooge Liibaan (AUN)
Ahmed Mooge Liibaan(AUN)


2- Guul Band (Ilmo Maygaag Samatar) from Toronto Canada, the group were an istant hit in the late 90s early 2000s, all left the band, graduated from college and are married.


3- Walahala Sweden (Ilmo Omar Yare) Mahmoud, Fuad and Abdi Cumar Yare are the latest Somaliland band, each has his own album and style and perform well.

Ah. I see. Never really heard of big time singers, all the big singers back in the day were from Xamar and the rest of the South.

Somali music was made in Hargeisa just like the Somali language and the Somali flag, all of the great singers were from Hargeisa or raised by Hargeisa

Even today if you look at satellite, Baydhabo is bigger then their biggest city Hargeisa. Laughing Supposedly the second biggest city in Somalia and where all their hard work went.
