Just because I am a "Wahabi" does not mean that I am blind or dumb. Women are a very important asset to any society and educating women should be the top responsibility of any leader. What you have in Saudi Arabia is a twisted version of Shari'a law. Saudi Royal family decides what rules to implement and what sermons the religious clerics are allowed to say in any mosque. So, how can such a perverted type of Shari'a be deemed a model of conservative Islam?

Ignorance about Islam, whether intentional or otherwise is what has led to Muslim womens' demise. Muslim societies, regardless of what sects/cults they believe in always disregard womens' rights, Somalia included.

Both of my grandmothers could not read or write either in Somali or Arabic. Neither of them knew more than a handful of verses from the Qur'an. Fathers never bothered to take their daughters to dugsi and women were never taught their religion. This was before "Wahabi" Islam reached Somalia.

Don't blame us "Wahabists" for the societal norms, women are always a victim in any givem society, that's just the rule of the jungle.

qardasay, what are you implying? That the Islamic Courts aren't supposed to make mistakes? The Islamic Courts isn't like the Vatican which is headed by clerics who are supposed to be infallible. The Islamic Courts is headed by fallible men who are supposed to make mistakes. Yes, the Islamic Courts made some mistakes, albeit expected mistakes, not grave ones. They should have waged a guerrilla war from the onset. They should have taken into account that America/Europe will be involved and help Ethiopia. They should have eliminated the warlords and war criminals, not set them free. They should have drawn valuable lessons from other Islamic movements such as Hezbollah, Hamas, etc. Along with other expected mistakes. That's because they were honest and new to the phenomenon of Islamic movements. Mistakes are made so that you gain experience. The Islamic Courts is gaining experience, getting stronger and brazen, and Somalis continue to held it in high esteem and respect.

In my opinion the biggest mistake the UIC made was not to attack Baydhabo as soon as they kicked out all the warlords from Mogadishu. Next, they should have immediately attacked Baydhabo, wiped out the goons who call themselves the "TFG". Once they captured Baydhabo, then they should have built strong defenses in that city.

They should have never gone in to "reconciliation talks" in Khartum with the Mbagathians. Prof. Addow should have known better than to trust a bunch of murderers or address them as a government.

The most devastating mistake the ICU made was hiring criminals who wore cimaamad(Indha Cade, Aweys). These guys led to the ICU's painful collapse. Those warlord ICU leaders openly promised to attack PUNTLAND, Somaliland and declared to free Ogadenia. Why didnt they keep this professional? Also Why were they so aggressive? Islam doesnt promote violence and declaring to attack puntland was the final straw that broke their back.

I have no knowledge that Sh. Daahir Aweys was ever a warlord or a criminal. I have attended a lecture that his brother Ahmed D. Aweys gave years ago in Nairobi, Kenya. And from what I know, they are both well lectured men.

There are no saints among men, the ICU made mistakes in many aspects. But it is their accomplishments in such a short time span that we must evaluate. In six months, they were able to achieve what no one else was able to achieve before them.

Puting clan talk aside, what has Biijo & his administration achieved anywhere in Somalia? Any re-construction projects? Any peace or security anywhere they rule? Any humanitarian assistance to those who starve around them?

Can you as a MJ man go back and receive your looted property? My family received their property in a dignified manner handed to us by a HG judge in June 2006 during the rule of the UIC. So, did many others.

ICU were Scum. Not only that but they were stupid scum. Since 1992 they have been one blunder after the other. Thank God they are stupid. If they were smart the country would be under the scum.

IUC were bunch of barbarian Wahabis who have no clue how to govern country. Wahabia cult weren't meant to rule a country. In Wahabia theology, there is no such thing as a ruling country other than enforcing Sharia penal code(beheading ,cutting hands, stoning to death, flogging etc.). In Saudi Arabia, all Wahabias do is religious duties and some social issues(volunteers who call people to pray and some community outreach of reporting those who don't pray and women who disregard Islamic virtue). They have no say when it comes to country's politics, enomics, social etc. The Kingdom run the country how they wanted. Even Kingdom family are above the Sharia that Wahabia cult runs.Basically the agreement between the Kingdom and Wahabia Scholar states that they, wahabia, are responsible in religious affairs and they will be get paid as long as they obey what the Kingdom says. And since Wahabia scholars clear their paid check from the goverment, they don't have much to do other than making busy themselves to small details of Islam. For instance, over-killing tawhiid(oneness of Allah), men growing/wearing she-goat bear, pant that runs upto ankles, enforcing women wearing ninja, eating and holding the drinks on right hand when in fact your right hand is greasy and other trivial issue that is nobody's business.

Wahabia is one-sided islam. and IUC were going to nowhere. In fact it was saved the bell. had stay in power for a while, they would have been exposed how short-sighted they were and how they don't have anything to offer other than punishing poor people from weak part of the society. They never executed one person from powerful clan--not single one!. And According to Aweys 'It was impossible to set up administration in Mogadisu at this time".

IUC and all wahabia cult around the globe are shame to Islam and all humanity. They stripped Islam off all humanity,philosophy, sociology, psychology, literature, politics, science, thecknology. Their Islam version is only Sharia Panel code and Islamic creed(caqiida) and oppresing women and separating from genders. They are bunch of lowlives who were programed in 7 century and have no clue how the modern world works.
