I see big competition between Bardhere Vs Beled Hawa for importance.

I might give Beled Hawa the edge still because of the commerce. Lakin Bardhere's much safer.

Baardheere seems to be the site of the new university, this development work, and many others but Beled-Xaawo will always control Somali Kenya and southern Ethiopia-Somalia trade and that is why it will be a big economic trading city in the future.

I can't read Somali well, but how much is this cement factory suppose to cost? And where is the limestone for the factory coming from? Just curious.

Ican NGO's will be the biggest source of funding but Somali cooperation is needed to tie in the loose ends. As for the limestone, if you knew the geography of Gedo you would not ask that question. Gedo is the home of ancient pleistocene limestone. Infact this cement factory is not a new thing but already existed under the previous government. This area was chosen because of this reason.

I figured their was limestone in Gedo region, but I was not sure whether their was active mining of limestone. Also was not aware of cement plant in the south, I've read about the plant in berbera built before the civil war. But good to know.
