NO!
I don't believe in campaigning and marches and all that garbage. The bottom line is any evil thats going on in this world, is well known, and there not going to do anything about it because some people decide to march like idiots. Just make Dua and prayf or the suffering, and spend whatever you can.

what pisses me off is how all this stuff is being done and the average American has no clue to whats going on
then again, there is no media outlet like Al Jazeera in the USA

What about campaigning for Congo where 4 millions have perished? Any celebrity ever been to Congo?
Re: Does Campaigning for Dafur HELP?
Fah1223,
The fact about Darfur is not how we were told. In fact, it is oil war between US and China. China has the contract of Sudan oil. US can't take it. That is all. No more and no less, buddy.
As student who goes to college once in my life I was bought into idea of political activist. but then came my first campaign. It was against Indonesia--freedom East Timor. I was not liking it, but participated anyway. Next one came, guess which country was against?--Well, Sudan. It was free SPLA-Southern Sudan. That one I didn't participate it. But then came the third one. Now is against Nigeria. There was a Christian Nigerian writer called Saro-Wiwa or something. He was against Shell oil corp and Nigerian government to drill oil in his tribe's land. The Nigerian government jailed him and were about to hang this writer. That campaign was called free Saro-Wiwa.
At that point it was crystal clear to me that no matter which side of coin they are, liberal or conservative, these people here, in North America, have their own reason to launch campaign against third world country. That above events I mentioned are all Christian minority against country who is Muslim majority.
And of course when comes to oil, things couldn't be clearer. US is after Sudan’s oil. US would have sent its troops to Sudan if US is not afraid that China would use its veto at Security Council.
Someguy--"my demise indeed has been exaggerated"

"there is no media outlet like Al Jazeera in the USA"
I watch Al Jazeera and it's not all that special. Refuses to criticize Islam and isn't really neutral, but by Arab standards, it's great!!! At least they invite Israeli representatives to share their views. Ditto American.
Luq
Are you criticzing American biology or culture?
Somalis are poorly positioned to criticize the latter of anyone.
Arabman
Some crisis capture the imagination, and some not. Basically nobody gives a shit about Africa. Never did, never will.
