The new Prime Minister would come from the United States. He would be from the Agoon Yar sub-clan of the Harti-Abgal. He was a former professor and older compared to Ghedi. He is already in East Africa and would head to Baidoba very soon, this is the information I am getting from my sources. I don’t want to reveal his name as it is very premature. One thing is clear; the next prime-minister will be from Abgal.

Also, Ghedi left the frame because of a very last minute deal offered to him by the Americans, from what I am told the Ethiopians were not very satisfied that he left. From what I am told from the two options offered to him, he chose the one most beneficial to him as an individual and discarded the rest. Don’t be surprised if he drops another bomb and sits as the next president of Somalia in 2009. 8)

Regardless of who becomes a Prime minister, we should support them fully and a not become an obstacle to peace and progress. The situation in Somalia is far greater then a petty difference of opinion between Ghedi and Abdullahi Yousuf, it is about the future of the Somali state. Long live the TFG.
Ps

Some are thinking that the departure of Ghedi will signal the demise of the TFG. Let me tell you that you are very mistaken. The TFG is here to stay regardless of Ghedi or Abdullahi Yousuf.
