[quote="zulaika"]illiterate women can manage their families just as much as a literate women. the difference is that the illiterate ones will have to be 100% dependant on their husbands (not just financially). question is, since the calibre of today’s farax is incessantly declining, can a xalimo truly afford not educate herself? for the sake of her family that is(including the farax himself)...

Naag wax barate oo especially a difficult field shahaado ku qaadate waa naag adag so she makes a better wife and better mother. Runtii kuwa waxbarasho ku faano meelahaan waa jaahilo phsycology iyo wax la mid ah oo even a retard degree kusoo qaadan karo soo barte and even markay faanayaan waa unemployed cos no wants to employee with their useless degree.

Seriously bal can we really afford not to seek education? Most xalimo should be ready to be the father and the mother of the family wallahi or work on putting him to Boot camp for the first few years to train to be the ideal husband.

Re: Educated women Vs Illiterate Women For GUUR?
Some of these women are confused wallahi......they think education goes with putting on a business suit to answer customer service phone calls ALL DAY.....that is NOT the "liberation" I'm talking about.
If a wife is going to have a worthwhile job that is really important, that's fine.....maybe she's a doctor and Xalimo's need a gynecologist.....that's a society need.
Sometimes I don't blame them b/c a lot of Faraxs are stingy MoFos who make their wife feel guilty about spending their money......If a woman is caught up w/ a stingy Farax then by all means she should work b/c he is not doing his duty.
But a woman does a job a man can't do which is to be the 1st teacher of her children and take care of live little human beings.....I'm not gonna breastfeed my kids am I?
So do we honestly expect from a "modern" woman that she:
1. Work 40-60 hrs a day.
2. Raise quality children.
3. Continue to educate and improve herself.
In my mind, most cases she can only really do 1 or 2 of those things full time.....so rather than put her in a business suit to slave for 'The Man' for 40-60 hrs. per week, why don't I try to provide all the money we need so she can educate herself......Hell if she wants to get a PhD I'm willing to help her there.
So, why not the man help her get an education while she takes care of the kids?
I know a Somali guy here in VA who just finished his Master's Degree and he was working full time.......his wife was also doing her undergrad in Civil Engineering.
Every semester they would take turns on who took more school and who would stay at home w/ the kids.

zulaika,
I'm doing OK, but I don't know if I can afford your Dolce & Gabana, GUCCI, and Chanel budget
on the real though, Faraxs are trying to put too much pressure on the Xalimos.....all this 'working' crap.....I would rather she do something more worthwhile for us as a family then rack up some hours on a timesheet.
