A 250-member delegation led by the Banadir Region Commissioner traveled to Baido on Sunday, where the President of Transitional Federal Government (TFG) resides.

The Somali parliamentarians were invited by President Ahmed to discuss the appointment of a new prime minister for the remaining two years of the TFG term.

Banadir Region Governor and Commissioner Moh'ed Dhere was meeting the president to persuade him to name a candidate loyal to Dhere as PM.

President Ahmed however rejected his request, a Press TV correspondent reported.

Informed sources at the presidential palace told Press TV that the meeting ended in a quarrel with Dhere reportedly insulted the President.

After the row, President Ahmed ordered his security guards to throw the commissioner out of the palace.
