Re: Does Camel Beat Break Your Abolution?
we Somalis are followers of Imam Shafici in matters of fiqi and therefore don't perform abolution after eating camel meat. The salafis, on the other hand, being followers of imam hambal do abolution after eating camel meat.
Naaima,
I'm not sure about cattle but adhi don't bend their legs when they are taking a piss--they only spread them out a bit.

Kramer,
That's incorrect, the only things that break ablution are bodily excretions or contact with a non-Mahram with sexual intentions.
As for camel meat, it is said to be makrooh (hated) to eat during Salat time or right before Salat, because it causes one to release gases, which will break ablution. It doesn't break ablution.

^If you rub against a woman's bare skin for example at the marketplace or as she is handing you something, it doesn't break your ablution.
The prove is 2 authentic hadiths whereby the Prophet (saw) touched his wives and did not perform ablution before he prayed.
1 incident was while he was praying and Aisha's legs were in his path and he tapped her bare leg to remove her legs.
2nd incident was when he kissed one of his wives and went on to to perform Salat without performing ablution.
Allah knows best!

I must say Kramer is an odd one. Why the hell would someone think or bring up this peculiar question? Bissinka. LOL

lool! at geelka istaaguu kukaadiyaa and cows and goats sit down!
every animals pee while standing up --but camels throws the urine all over his body carelessly--while other animals stand still and spread their legs. that is the only difference.
But there is this sheikh that said so!

Koronto I heard that too, but someone said u still have to go make wuduu because the hadith doesn't say if her leg was covered or not.
I never heard the kiss one.

Shirib,
I'll find you the hadith, insha Allah. Most madhabs say when contact between the sexes occurs, its best to repeat the ablution, because nobody can know people's intentions, but if you follow the tradition of the Prophet (saw), its not really necessary to repeat it.

IF YOU HAVE TIRMITHI check no. 21
IF YOU HAVE ABU DAWUD check no. 184
Perform ablution after eating camel meat, and do not perform ablution after eating goat." [At Tirmithi no.21 and Abu Dawud no.184]
Muslim narrated in his Sahih, on the authority of Jabir bin Samurah, may Allah be pleased with him, that a man asked the Prophet salallaahu 'alaihi wasallam:
"Should we make ablution after eating female camel meat?" He said: "Yes" [Muslim no.366].
And broth is not called meat, nor is food (cooked in camel meat) nor camel milk. Such matters are specific and Qiyas cannot be applied to them. And Allah knows best.
