It was the U.S. State Department that requested us
to attend the infamous Borame meeting. Walahi Warsangeli are a die-hard nationlists until United States intervened.
Even after Warsangeli envoy from Bosaaso attended the Borame meeting, we didn't partcipate the Guurti formation and the government of Egal.
I always wondered why some stupid Iidoors compared their so called Guurti with Warsangeli as a reflection of size.
Taariikhda Barta.

Thanks. I always count on Omar Moxamouds. I always wonder why Omar Moxamouds have much respect for Warsangeli. Even Abdilahi Yusuf trusted us more than any other Harti sub-clans. He was quoted as saying "If Warsangeli supports you, they will stick with you to the end and if , on the other hand, they withdraw their support owing to some broken bileteral agreement, there is nothing you would do to regain their trust no matter what you do."

MJ, I don't know if you know it, but it is a mandated program for us to donate $1000 each one of us. I have already donated but I am giving as much as I can. All you can do as of now is transfer money between different accounts. It was hard to do that before until this new account that is opened at the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation (HSBC)

Wareer, So how much you guys collected so far? i went to the website but they don't have those information. I wanted to see how much is needed to complete the project. Do you have any inside info about it?
Woow, 1000? If all Warsans pay that much, I am sure they can raise the 10 million in less than 5 years.

The website reserves critical information until they have everything. There are Business people who want to be stakeholders in this project, but Horn Relief rejected their proposal because they might complicate the future operation of the port and create a conflict of interest. Once that happens, the noble aims of the project would never bear fruits for those whom it was intended, the inhabitants of Sanaag and Sool.
Ogaadeens have contributed much from Australia to England compared to other Harti clans and Isaaq.

Laaqoray port
What exactly is it needed for? Don't the warsangeli use bossaso port? Seems like a waste of money.

Yes they use but it has never benefited the population of Sool and Sanaag. The objectives of the reconstruction of the port is humanatarian. The revenue it collects will be aimed at building schools, hospitals, repairing roads, etc. Bosaso's revenue is mainly used for paying the troops and the rest is eroded by corrupt practices.
Bosaso port only helps the greedy business people whether they are Warsangeli MJ or Dishiishe.

The more economic opportunities and development projects somali clans get, wherever they live, the better it will be for all, for their peace and for their freedom. There will be less conflict between clans and mutual respect between them if there is economic prosperity in many regions. They should build an airport in addition to the sea port. They(the locals of Hobyo if they can) must build the Hobyo port as well. Cade Muse will have less money to loot.
