The recent kidnapping was a stunt and act of sabotage to detour and/or limit Aid agency activity in Maakhir country. Such an act by the Somaliland regime would only create a reef situation among Isaaqs living in Maakhir. Maakhir has never been hostile towards guests and has extended their arms to the international community towards the humanitarian needs of Somalis within Maakhir. The securest region of the former Somalia, Maakhir, Somaliland is attempting a smear campaign to damage the reputation of our State. This will only lead to blood shed in Cerigabo and Ceelafweyn as these saboteurs are conducted their acts in these locations.

Where cracking down on Isaaq sympathisers aka Somalilanders in Maakhir Country. The situation is that we are not qabilist however this has led us to the situation where Isaaqs are kidnapping Aid workers to smear Maakhir Country. We must either subject Isaaqs within Maakhir to brutality or deport them back to Hargesia.
