abdi, adolescents these dayz are bright little people. the only thing u can do to help them is to guide them really. chance r they probably already know everything they need to know.

it's really a 50/50 kinda thing. u dont want to open a can a worms. and judgin from the fact that they r somali N they grew up in a decent household, i doubt they r doin anything now, so maybe u should give it 2 or so yrs. when u feel the time has come, tell them to make smart choices n b cautious about diseases (there r many!! ) there r plenty of oral contraceptives available. in lecture last week, we learned that the majority of adolescents dont know how to use the available protection, so abdi u might have to use the "banana" to demonstrate!!

in the mean time take them out occasionally N tell them. "if u ever need anything, just anything I'm only a phone call away" !!
