How come Pakistanis buy their homes in the West
And Somalis prefer to rent or live in social houses.
Its not like they got any choice we all know interest is xaraam
but its in every aspect of your financial life
for example what do you do with your own interest for your account that the bank pays you?
do you transfer it back ...
Somalis are miserable people.
They can live 40 years in the samle place without gaining a dime from economic rise.
just look at Dubai
we were among the first and form the largest african society there
yet the bloody indians and perhaps ethiopians are surpassing us now in business.
We tend to copy our faarax brothers business--- we are bigtime copycats .

Re: How come Pakistanis buy their homes in the West
something from the 7th century is not the same as modern day interest, which on savings accounts is basically only securing your money from inflation nothing else or on loans the same thing, no real profits or anything
and many ''islamic banks'' work nearly the same as western banks...

I don't know the xukun on "Islamic Banks" like they have in Dubai but I know that the banks in America operate on interest (Savings accounts which operate on simple interest compounded monthy, quarterly, yearly etc.) interest and they are Xaraan. Simple interest whereI know a lot of people purchase property in UAE using these banks but I don't know if they are xalaal or not.

Re: How come Pakistanis buy their homes in the West
whats xaram about 2.5% interest, when inflation in many places is over 3%
you are not even making money
and islamic banks and western banks basically all come down to the same thing, theres no difference.

Re: How come Pakistanis buy their homes in the West
There will come a time when muslims dont care how they make their money and they will justify it by anymeans necessary, time difference, I have no choice, Id rather take the riba and then live it with the kufr erc.........

Interest is a form of Ribba
What Economy has will set interest lower then inflation? . The whole point of interest established by the Central banks is to control Inflation.
Rates based on Inflation is also haram. If a sell you a bottle of milk for $1 today, and you tell me you will pay next week, If the price goes up to $1.2 its Haram for me to charge you $1.2.
Islamic Morgages is a load of BULLSHIIT, Its just the same as a converntional morgage all the do is play with the ords and offer a different payment system, in the end its just the same. The so called "Islamic morgages" are also HARAM.

Re: How come Pakistanis buy their homes in the West
Ribba is not Interest....
Ribba was common transaction that used to take place in the Arabic Peninsula before the rise of Islam, namely Riba Al Nasi, where a wealthy man would lend merchants in need of cash a sum of money in return for an agreed-upon markup to be paid in addition to the loan amount after a certain period of time, a practice which was condemned by the Quran in several instances.
We have to look at the underlying logic in banning such a practice. It was not banned simply because it entailed a fixed profit, because if we apply that principle, even renting property would be a SIN.
Whether you are renting a tangible commodity or the actual medium of exchange - money - the concept remains the same, because money is also a utility for which you have to pay.
Instead, riba was banned because it entailed deceit, coercion or monopoly and because the creditor did not have the system banks have today to ensure that the debtor has the capability of paying back the loan.
Interest makes a fair transaction because 100$ today and the same amount a year later do not have the same value..

^^
You have to acknowladge that interest is to make profit rather than to accommodate the loss of value in currency. Therefore its HARAM, Its not fair. Its evil, Why do you think they change the name from usury to Interest, a better sounding word.
