Somali Big Brother Association

There is a major need for a Somali Big Brother Association to help mentor our young boys. Every year more and more fall victim to the streets.

It would be great if there was such an association that would pair up a mentor, Big Brother, with a younger boy & allow that boy to have a positive role model & big brother to ask questions/seek advice from.

I didn't believe it when this father told me that it is hardest to raise sons in the West than daughters. He explained that daughters have a lot of pressure on them and have to work harder to earn the trust of their family. Boys on the other hand were not subjected to the same level of scrutiny.

For my part, I am going to be a Big Brother to FAH1223.

Thats not a bad idea actually. The only issue would be the ratio of corrupted brothers far out weigh the "good" brothers...relatively speaking that is!
Life is full of challanges, Im sure you can a way to swiggle around AW.......

Im sure it wouldnt bother those attending...however I think the pool of candidates that would be good brothers so to speak are rather meak in comparison to their opposite.
I support your efforts and ideas, however you need someone like me to play the devils advocate. Just to ensure that all your bases are covered. 8)

I am unofficially a big Brother to my two nephews whose Papa passed away over 10 yrs ago. I keep an eye on those two boys & treat them like my children. Boys need a strong male figure in thier lives & unfortunately a woman would find it hard to fill it.
