there a lot of benefits of using laptop for note taking but a lot of idiots end up just playing games or getting on the internet instead of actually taking notes...

You damn right I used to use a laptop in class go on the net and even post on snet. If a teacher threw my laptop like that I'd whoop his azz. I knew this couldn't have been America.
