Absolutly yes if we get recognized which mean the country will recieve aid money I will buy some property in Hargeisa The country needs Aid money Eritrea and Kenya receives Billions per year Imagine if Somaliland gets Billions a year, bas bas iyo barwaaqo The economy would seriously boom.

It really depends......Aid money has completely, litterally destroyed Africa from every angle, somalia/land should be self reliant and accept only what's necessary and nothing more, basically people should work for what they want, look at somalis from the UK, They became extremely lazy and wholeheartidly depedant on the hand out system to the point they see it as legit shid.

You are high lighting the negative side Unfortunately most governments in Africa are corrupt , but if the money is used wisely and for the nations interest in terms of health care education roads creating jobs for people etc African countries would flourish and the problem about Somalis in the Uk is Khat that shiid makes Somalis lazy if Uk banns khat Somalis would be more productive instead of sitting day and night in the marfish.

land-boy, true that but look at nigeria mayn, they make over billions of dollars a year but the avarage person still lives with under a dollar a day, case in point dahir riyaale makes more money being president then goerge W bush who's president of the wealthest nation on earth. Africa is comepletely engulfed with corruption and nepotism of the elite, marka when u see people starving on TV in Africa, it's not that they dont have food, at that they simply cant afford it due to corrption being globilized, Aid money is split between government and rarely makes it to the intended audiance, food aide is still profited by the corrupt government, they instead of handing it out, well sell it trying to make a revenue, flooding the market with the food.

The key word is African Leaders are corrupt and don't care about the average citizen or the nations interest all they care about about is filling there pockets with money , However Aid money is better then no Money and all, but the problem needs to be solved all odeyaal need to be overthrown young ambitious educated Somalis need to take charge, and am sure we will see massive improvement.

Oxy--sxb it's really hard to say and it's really complicated but we can start with educating the mass, without education they are just slave to the system and wont be aware of the exploit. Second aide agencies should deal directly with the pupils rather then trusting it with the government. Third instead of money, countries should be giving credits in it's place, so that way, it can be used to what it was intended for rather then being re-directed to a fat swiss account. Fourth is probably the most important, BECOME SELF RELIANT meaning earn what you worked for and spend what u earned rather then borrowed shid which will eventually get you in a debt that get's deeper and deeper.


SlandBoy, About the khat, first people must recognize that it's a drug and not a fuking "somali coffee", and it's a great mistake if some one tries to ban it overnight, you have to give addicts time to recover, basically get strict on khat over the years, making it harder as the weeks, months and years go by.

Khat is a Big problem in the Somali community Backhome and in diaspora, Somalis Backhome suffer economically and health issues cause of Khat aboard Somalis became Lazy good for nothing losers so I have come to the conclusion Khat needs to be banned the addicts can recover in rehab and am sure Somalis would be a lot more Productive and there would be much less broken Somali families, In the Uk you will see 14 year old kids chewing Khat.

Somaliland or Somalia as a whole shouldn't take aid money or handouts. Somalis as a collective unit know how to generate money and build our lands up.

Aid money will be gone the day it is given, African Leaders don't care.
