what prevented them from occupying the south from 95 onwards?
not millitary strenght , but political considerations.

you need some sort of working national government,\
we need to ditch the TFg and replace it with a new TFG that the west will accept and is effective.

This new TFG will have to have islamists in it.

and it has to be formed inside somalias borders, somaliland is a good example
Gurey says it much better than I can. Guns are NOT going to win this thing.

Some of you guys are over estimating the habeshi power, they have no might and strength and nothing to atone for this. They only have western assistance. Wallahi 18-20 million somalis in the horn united causing problems is crazy idea. The habeshi keep us divided.

The habeshi are just animals thats all. You have to fight fire with fire.

Axmed Gurey burnt there villages and slaughtered them... we need people like Idhacadde burning habeshi villages like he 'allegedly' burns somali villages.

Doesn't the individual have to believe in revolutionist and or the vying of a nation in order to make it a reality? Do we await or even remotely consider a group of people who had systemically destroyed the capital to hold hands with their enemy (the rest of the Somali people) to change the course of the nation? Hypocrisy, ideologist drivel doesn't work, nor will it.

Even if the TFG didn't exist or Ethiopia had not stepped foot in Somalia, they would still be ongoing bedlam.

absolutely, focusing on a revolution combined with taking advantage of Ethiopia's shaky foundation could become successful, yet easier said than done.

taking all this into consideration, changing the TFG through elections and lobbying is much more plausible.
Actually, a revolution is much more plausible then awaiting any change from the puppet regime, which as we all know is under control of Addis Abebba and Western countries.

If we look on the groundreality in Somalia, the building blocks of a revolution are been laid down, soon we'll need a revolutionairy group to ignite the fire of revolution that will spread through every corner of Somalia. High probability that the revolution will come from the south, and especialy the usual known hotspots.

As for the topic,

good initiative, strategizing about a war with Ethiopia and its subsequent subjugation by Somalis is a factor that has proven to unite different Somalis from different clan backgrounds. I've seen this many times.

And it is also no coincidence why the current Ethiopian regime and its Somali supporters want to target this factor with their PR campaigns of: ''Somalis and Ethiopians are brothers, should live in peace and unity, and should forget about the past animosity''.

Is it a coincidence?

Somaliweyn,

What happened to your "Northeastern" traitor talk? Now you are trying to play this "We need to be friends to get rid of the enemy?"

Your enemy just might be someone's friend. Remember that.

Alluring,

Nothing happened with those talk.

I still believe every individual who supported the Ethiopian occupation in one way or the other (mainly justifying and supporting the actions of the Ethiopians and their Somali puppet regime) must face consequences. Every indivual no matter the region or clan-background. It just happens that some are more in numbers that others.

KOA how can you talk about a freed Somali Galbeed when you are denying us Dire Dawe ?
who is gonna free Somali Galbeed if you see your own people as the enemy.

That was seriously the strangest qabiilistic reply I have ever seen on Somalinet.
You want Dire Dawe to be free yet you deny us to liberate it?

This is only possible in Somaliwood.

I swear the chance that aliens exist is bigger than that somalis will unite and conquer Ethiopia.
