never heard of taahira, but we got a wide variety of halal products here, even the largest supermarket chain has a halal meatsection for its muslim customers. We prefer the Islamic butcher though.

Re: What did you have for lunch yesterday??
lol at laxoox
its really easy to make you just need flour, yeast, a little salt and water, mix it all together like pancake batter, and make it really smooth, and you should have a really good good pan, it has to be dry no butter no oil etc. heat it up and pour some of the batter on to the pan, spread it out a little, so that you can have small holes
and cover it with a lid, then its done in a few seconds

Firefly-
That's what I'm talking about.
Ever had Wagyu meat Grant? The most expensive beef in the world. Those cows drink beer and get massages on a regular basis. Crazy.

Re: What did you have for lunch yesterday??
I have the recipe for sausage rolls..and i have baked with puff pastry before..but can someone tell me if they use frankfurters for the sausage rolls? or is it some other kind of sausage? i dont want to risk using that and it turns out to be yucky.
Re: What did you have for lunch yesterday??
lol you can use an electric whisk and your hands as well
, if you add yeast to the batter you should let it sit for sometime then it will rise or you could just get the self rising flour from the stores and you dont have to let it sit for long just a few mins, and about the taawa i get better results when i use the ones from the indian stores opposed to the regular pans.

Enlightened~Sista:- The thing with canjeelo is if you get the garaacis right, and hadaad xooga yar qamirisid (sp) then it will turn out good. About the spreading, you have to pick up handle of the pan, and move it around. But you have to make it thick - not thin like pancakes. And make sure you use self-raising flour.
garowegal:- Very good explanation walaal.
