Not true, the west never put a single economic sanction on Zimbabwe. Mugabe and a few leaders of ZANU-PF had big-time personal asset and foreign bank account sanctions put on them by George W. Bush in 2003, but not because of the farm seizures but because he rewrote the constitution basically establishing himself as absolute ruler of Zimbabwe. That's one of Mugabe's big lies, that foreign sanctions are to blame for the economic collapse. The only thing sanctioned is his Swiss bank account.

The IMF didn't force him to take their loans, and all the vast progress made after independence in 1980 was with IMF loans. People are such idiots, they applauded him when he was spending money his government didn't have to improve things, and now they are saying he's an awful administrator when the loans get called in. He was ALWAYS an awful administrator.

Since when does the west care about equality, democracy or anything like that. Aren't they the one who propped up Pinochet in Chile. They just want their loot back.

The reason Zimbabwe is in an economic crisis is because European countries have shut down the markets on Zimbabwe and are destroying the country. But they will not get their loot back.

Yes I am denying that Europeans shut down the markets of Zimbabwe, I know guys in agribusiness who fly there every month and the ZANU-PF party elite are really rich, much richer than the white farmers used to be. The burden of paying off the IMF has been passed to everyone but them.

America is not the same as Europe and Britain. The British have tried to help their former colonies, and get blamed for far too many things when the opposite is usually the case. The British were the biggest enemies of Apartheid South Africa and Rhodesia and tried to get the Somali inhabited parts of Ethiopia and Kenya back into Somalia. The fact that America is the Global Bully/Rapist doesn't mean every country in the west is a Global Bully/Rapist.

If you can find a single shred of evidence that Zimbabwe is suffering because Europe has "shut down" their economy, I will eat my shoes.

What do you consider to be evidence? I can't believe your actually arguing that their are no economic sanctions against zimbabewe.

Mugabe is also a problem himself, he's greedy with power. But, the amount of hate filled propaganda the western media throws at this old guy is sickening.

Zenawi steals elections, kills many of his citizens and gets millions of dollars in military/economic aid. To make it even sweeter, he is funded to occupy his nation's enemy, Somalia.

Mugabe's fault = not playing ball with the Western powers.
