I just caught my pre-teen cousin singing a very vulgar song called 'I Kissed a Girl'. I remember just yesterday when I was surprised with that song 'Don't Cha Wish your girlfriend was hot like me', but now the most popular songs on the radio are all about sex. The most morally degrading part is that little kids are singing it without knowing what the message in these songs are.

There's only so much that parents can do. The media has a big effect on a child's development, the only solution is not to shield a child away from the negativity of the outside world but to show them that it's wrong.

A parent cannot always be there for a child, they will indefinitely go into the outside world and discover these things on their own. The problem is within the media and what our children watch, we're already becoming desensitized to all of this moral degradation.
