The recent one about Hadith was a doozy! I avoided that one like the plague. Laymen commenting on such things really inadvisable.

I also tend to avoid topics started by people with a poor grasp of English grammar and punctuation. Its rather hard to make heads or tails of their jumbled thoughts as they spew them carelessly on the screen.

i dont avoid islamic topic that would be my favored topic all the time
but the problem ignorents are the ones starting and discussting these topic.
some one who relay on translations and intreption of others
and not comprahaint simple arabic rules.
never learn basic hadeeth rules which is 3il al riyaal and tawator tells you
this hadeeth not sahiih and this i cannot believe it!!

so mainlly i avoid any topic start with these ignorent people.
also 99% of women here i avoid them
the rest 1% are my favored one.lol

runti dadba here try too hard to embress others but hope they know they're doing opposite.
i dont want to name names though

wa salam alaykum.

I avoid mindless threads..that do nothing for my intelligence level.

There should be no excuse for avoiding religious threads. People who do that would rather wallow in their own ignorance. They avoid it because they cant be arsed. No wonder Islamic threads die an early death while other preposterous threads go on and on and on till the cows come home.

There are people here who openly admit their sins..who constantly talk about sex outside marriage, clubbing etc

There are people here who proudly and unashamedly talk about their favourite tipple

People who surround themselves with the worst circle of friends and expose themselves to all kinds of qudhun environments.

There are people here who talk shit and consistently display behaviour unbecoming of a righteous Muslim...its beyond belief...as long as its the net..morals go out the window.

but who is ganged upon???

the one sister that likes to engage in religious threads and discuss a few hadeeths in a respectful way only to have torrents of abuse and insults hurled her way... in not one thread but FOUR concurrent threads FIVE if i add Qansa's now dead thread and SIX if i add Awe's thread that i clearly avoided...calling her 'evil' 'misleading' 'having a secret agenda' 'divisive' 'misguided' 'ignorant' 'zionist' 'secular' 'athiest' is this fair?? Is this how Muslims behave towards one another?

Enlightened Sista,

If an individual resorts to insulting when a debate is on, that is a sign that the person knows he/she is on the losing ground otherwise why engage in using colorful words when he/she has real issues to argue about. In the future when such thing happens, its pretty safe to declare yourself as the winner in that debate :P

And yeah many does not know that "a muslim is the person whose tongue and hand do not harm others." Even if a person says something bad in anger, he/she should ask for forgiveness!

Onemansquad,

Yes, i do avoid those individuals who are morally bankrupt and they brag about their corruptness. I can name few but I will keep it to myself!

Enlightened~Sista:- I think the religious topics that people here are referring to are those 'controversial topics' which invite debate about Islamic matters. I usually avoid such topics too, but I happened to reply to the one about the 'Hadeeths' in which I addressed you. I believe 1nemansquad is right, we should try our best to avoid such topics just in case we say something wrong without realizing it. However, other Islamic topics created by fisabilillah and Navy9 should not be avoided because such topics serve as a reminder for all of us. You should just ignore those people who are insulting you sis, & please don't take what they say to heart sis, it's clear that they lack the ability to engage with someone without resorting to insults and name calling. And if I said something wrong to you in that thread, please accept my apologies walaal. :)

Enlightened-S, I didn't say avoid Islamic threads, what I said however is avoid divisive threads relating Islam. If you have uncertainty on an issue discussed here which you have a little understanding of don't just slot in and start having a debate on that but as an alternative go and learn, read the Quran and search the answers for youself and if you still can't find it go to your local Masjid and ask for assistance from the Wadaads there.

As for whoever is insulting you, sxb boys will always be boys, most of them do what they do so they can chait-chat with you. You should be flattered.
