Re: Autism in rise among Somali children
VACCINATIONS:
Many people believe that the increase in number and kind of vaccinations given to very young children is a contributing cause of autism.
The research is still ongoing into this, but some studies have shown that children who have had the MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) vaccine developed signs of autism shortly after.
Even though health organizations say that there is no link between the MMR vaccine and autism, many parents are choosing not to allow their children to receive the vaccine.

Re: Autism in rise among Somali children
Ok the word ' Austism' gets thrown ALOT!!!! In the media, in the news, in the market, in the restaurant restroom makeup touch up break-- and now in somalinet!! Can someone clearly tell me what is the definition of a Autism??? the clear cut symptoms??? I know it has to do with slowness or mild retardation-- but it could be anything. My understanding is--autistic children tend to be--NOT present, kinda not paying attention, like in their own world.i think they engage in endless muttering, and making noise.I have an african neighbor whose kid is about --say--4 year old-- who sits at a balcony and makes noise 24/7! Now i never saw any child make constant noise like this bugger before, perhaps, i have never had such children as neighbors. But it is annoying. My question is: Is this child autistic? I instictively diagnosed him as such, his noise is none end. I dont want to complain to the landy lady about it, it is mean. Strangely i love children, so it doesn't really bother me, but annoying nevertheless.Anyway--thinking of somali kids adding autism to the equation of their natural trouble maker DNA-- and the result is HILARIOUS.
Toni Braxton child is autistic too, jenny mccarthy and jim carey's kid is autistic as well-- i think it has to do with something they use in the hospital. I always suspected it is the epidural drug they get in the birth room-- that pain reliever that nums the mothers from child bearing labor.
I think every mother should experience the pain of child labor-- its amazing-- u know--- u will shout loud, sort of premeditate your husband's murder as u r in pain, the perks are tempting.

Somea you are focking retarded, that shit is real. Personally, I believe it's to do with immunizations, but Basra raised an interesting alternate cause, ie epidural.

Autism is a serious mental disorder ...nothing to joke about guys.
And No..its not just somali phenom..it is in the rise for the whole western world..with no known reason.
It could be attributed to vaccinations, enviromental changes or whatever but there is no sure thing or known etiology.
Advo,
Stop beating your younger brother he needs help..medical help as well as family help

Re: Autism in rise among Somali children
Somali people are a joke, look at them all saying that autism doesnt exist, and nothing serouse, you people are stupid, thats why poor somali kids, who are 5 or 6 years old, who cant talk or always screaming and acting mad, and their parents are like waa naacas or wa dumb child, this is pathetic, and when the doctor tells them their child has autism a mental disoder they refuse to believe, and beat the child senseless thinking the poor sick child is stupid. this is sad, what ignorance, my neighbours daughter is autistic, and trust me she aint no normal child, shes 7 cant speak, always making loud noise, cant interract, yet still her mum thinks shes possessed by Jin, how ridicolouse, she will refuse to believe that her child is got a mental problem but rather believes she got spirits inside her.
as for advo, dont beat ur lil bro, help him he needs alot of medical attention,

Re: Autism in rise among Somali children
autism doesn't go away, u r stuck with a retard for life. Somalis can't handle this, they view their children as wealth or assets-- if they are damaged, its disaster to them.

Re: Autism in rise among Somali children
^^ I think it depends on the child and the form of Autism he/she has. But, I've heard or read that some people, like Jenny Mccarthy have helped their children early by changing their diet and detoxing their system.
I am not sure if it really does help but i've heard that some children who have had sugar and yeast cut from their diet have regained some normalcy.
