Wait am not saying that having goals are bad. On the contrary its considered a good motivation to work hard and achieve success's in life.

your rite in the UK we have more freedom of speech, and thus we can state whether or not a leader has leadership qualities.

but gordon brown has always been a terrible mistake within the labour government. the new labour government has been building on curruptions and scandals since the election of 1997 that saw tony blair take power.
i mean we all knw that gordon brown has been waiting in the wings, witing for the PROMISED position as labour leader since his step-down of leadership of labour.
since 1997 gordon brown has been impatiently waiting for the chance that 'would never come' so tell me what exactly did he do that helped our nations? and his POOR handing of tax payers money is a disgrace. it was his job to save some money... but they'v invested it all in a failing education and failing NHS. i really do not see anything positive that has come out of this government... im looking forward to them going....

High unemployment and very high inflation. And Margret Thatcher aka the "iron lady" Even though she was a strong leader hence her nickname she came up with 1 of the worse taxation ever!!

It was so badly rebelled many people took it out to the streets and had a full on war with the police!! After her the were a succession of rubbish leaders who also did no good for great Britain. Then who comes along eh? Labour and fixes up there mess!!

More people are going to education and further education in Uni (especially somalis) The NHS as been funded by them more helping many millions of disadvantaged backgrounds people... (again somalis & foreigners)
Yes it aint doing to well now... but this is due to bad administration.

I see this no more then a slight economy fall but it will pick itself back up again ishallah. In the meantime i hope a more educated sister like you will continue to vote labour

yes conservative used to b rubbish but it seems they have fixed up their act. im still not a supporter tho. iv just lost faith in the labour party.
motto of the labour party was education... education and bloody education, however the truency levels are at an all time high. the illetracy levels are again.. at an all time high. schools and teachers are not getting the funding and the payrise they desperately need. it seems even educators have lost faith in this education system, with less and less people becoming teachers and more people leaving the teaching profession.

just because the old conservative were a co'ck-up it doesnt mean we have to settle for an inadaquate government.
and the NHS.... will soon b over, the governments plans to introduce and employ more companys from the private sector, makes it seem like the free NHS may soon draw to a close.

we're becoming america.... i envisage the LEA stopping its funding of young ppl to go to university and providing loans to pay university fees, therefore less people will go to university and better their future. i see the free NHS stopping. can u imagine a world where going to hospital for an emergency will b a luxury.

Your absolutely right there!! But @ times certain things are beyond the control of the Government powers like oil price which inevitably affects our daily life's by increases in gas bills and general fuel prices

I agree with OXY, Gordon Brown was a very successful chancellor and much of labour success was due to his economic policies. The problems with food, fuel prices etc is global and has nothing to do with him. Just because Brown doesnt appear charasmatic like Blair and cameron doesnt mean he is a bad leader.


Also asscociating Labour with the nanny state, welfare etc is a very old generalization. Both of the main parties have very similar free market policies. I think you are talking about the labour of the 60's and 70's.

ok let me clarify my point... its true, it is not the fault of mr brown that fuel prices and food prices are raising.... however... there is a very common misconception (one which oxy has already made) where by we believe that the banks are there to look after us. mind i remind u that the bank is indeed a business... and like any other business it is there solely to make money from us...

the job of chancellor is to look after the country economy rite...? well gordon brown should have the initiative to warn us from the economical crisis which we were headed to. it was up to him to work with the government to put in place legislations that restricted the bank lendings.
infact its not to late for us to ask the government to consider legislations to do this. so u c, gordon brown saw what the future foretold and we had a right to knw... and he had a responsibilty to consider what to do to make it stop...

now here is my theory on y he failed in doing this.... u knw how i told u that during the 1997 elections mr brown steped out of the race for leader of labour party as he claimed that tony blair promised him that he would later on step down and give him the position. now any failings of the labour party and who do u blame... the leader... i think gordon brown has been working to long and hard... not to benefit this country and its ppl but to benefit himself and his plan... funny, it all seemed to work in his favour....

u mite say... ok but anyone with half-a-brain will not blame the economy on tony blair... but thats the things.... ppl with only half-a-brain... thats very rare in this country... like sheep they all baa after the sheep who baa's the loudest...

I believe Mr Gordon is perfect for his job. He not only showed and proved his leadership on various occassions through out his experience as Gathom city police commissioner, but he closely worked shoulder length with the super hero Batman, the trust and dedication showed by both characters forms an underline beauty that's just right for what we need today. Gordon Brown is boring and has no character. He should quit while he's ahead cos his party is gonna loose next elections. He was good in the background. Now he just looks like an old dull fat woman that can't talk properly or do a good fake smile.

Nobody likes him anyway so don't blame yourself for not liking him. Even his peers want him out. Sometimes I myself whether he really is the PM.
