It's sad when something like this happens, a young male does need a male role-model in his life.

When a father leaves- it all depends on how strong the mother is. Then she can control them and what not, the father obviously is needed. But the kids can grow up only having minor issues, which is natural. Maybe when they grow up thats when they need their father- to teach them about LIFE and how it works something that is hard for the mother to do.

let the deen b a father to them... let the lessons and examples of our prophets b role models for them.... inshallah allah will guide them to make their mother proud.. all the suffering wont b in vain...

it all depends on YOU.

Obviosuly its better to have both ur mum and dad but over here,I think most Somali families are single parent families....usually there is no father.......kids need thier fathers...but she can raise them up on her own..its hard work but its possible...she just needs to be strong...

yeah a dad will boss them around and karbash them if they fukk about

but a kid without a dad is likely to become a chav/ciyaalosuuq that hangs about the street

Yes, a Kid needs his father no matter what.......aniga my mother raised me (dad was in Africa), she was strong but I couldnt ask her every question I had, so I turned to my role models who was Dr. Sham Sud Deen (an AA muslim revert) who also my manager (apartment complex). May allah reward that lady and may the bastard husband drop dead.
