I'm missing your point.
So to speak; I remember when my relatives visited back home berbera, they had to stand very far from the port like the locals who are prohibited to go near, Ethiopians and their workers are only permitted entry - I'm sure it's hard to swallow fact for you- but is true. Plus is not a big secret that this econ-friendly strategic town is severely neglected in comparison to the flamboyant east Burco (not west burco) and some areas in Hargeysa. Underdevelopment, hunger, more all at present in Berbera, unlike many coastline cities in the Horn where either they are treasured or have a power struggle between inhabitants for who will inherit its bounty.
Its unfortunate that Berbera still lives in the dark age. sad place!!!
