The Fulani and Hausa these days are practically synonymous.
The Fulani conquered the Hausa city states and for the past 200 years or so have been the ruling class of the Hausa.
and Many Fulani speak Hausa as it is the Lingua franca of that area..

gurey you are right the fulani even invaded the hausa tribe and they brought them to the real islam as they were following a very bad sect (i think some part of sufisim mingeled with animisim) but the point is all the towns and northern nigeria are hausa the fulani's presence is only few hundred years old,even the name y'ardua is a hausa..its like saying a guy who is name is shermake who lives in mogadishu but arguing actually he is tigrayan bcoz the ethiopians are there now it just doesnt make sense.

Abuja is Hausa

Fulanis are minority compared to Hausa, they intermarried a lot so I don't think they can be distinguished from eachother now
