How many somalis voted for him?? is he talking on behalf of his constiuency?? most elected officials do and are driven by that.

These are non-binding motions and are not enforced. So, it is really much ado about nothing. Both houses have to pass the bill for it to become a law and the president has to sign it. Or it has to pass 2/3 in the senate. Somalis in Minnesota with the right energy and enthusiasm can pressure senators to vote for it, but I don't think that is possible. There is just too much political apathy and division for Somalis to agree on almost any-thing....perhaps maybe the Palestinian issue
